Legal
Privacy Policy
- Your videos, pictures and voice recordings stay on your own device. We do not store them on our servers.
- We keep a small account record: your name, age, country, email and a protected password.
- To make ideas, scripts, voices and post text, the words involved are sent to AI services and come back to you.
- We do not sell your information and we do not show advertising.
- You can ask us to see, fix or delete your data at any time.
Who we are
This policy explains how CREATEWOKS (“CREATEWOKS”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you use the CREATEWOKS website and app (the “Service”). We are responsible for the personal information described here.
You can reach us at [email protected] or by post at .
What we collect
Account details
When you create an account we collect your full name, age, country and email address, and the password you choose. Your password is stored by our sign-in provider in a protected (hashed) form. We cannot read it. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We also keep the date you agreed to our terms, and technical account records such as when you confirmed your email and last signed in.
What you create
Your niche choices, ideas, scripts, fact-check results, art style notes, image prompts, narration settings, picture and voice files, edit timeline, cover settings, post text and calendar plans are saved in your browser on your own device. We do not receive or store your finished videos, your pictures or your voice recordings on our servers.
What is sent to AI services
To create ideas, scripts, fact checks, image prompts, narration and post text, the words needed for that task (for example your niche, a title, your script or a scene’s narration text) are sent through our secure gateway to AI service providers, and the result is sent back to you. Please do not type secrets or other people’s private information into these fields. Your pictures, finished videos and voice recordings are not sent.
Technical information
Like most online services, our hosting and security providers process your IP address, device and browser type and the time of each request. We use this to keep the Service running, to prevent abuse, and to limit how many requests one account can make.
Payments
When paid plans are available, payments are handled by our payment provider, Paystack. We receive confirmation of your plan and payment status. We do not receive or store your full card details.
Messages to us
If you write to us, we keep your message and our reply so we can help you.
How we use your information
- To create and secure your account and sign you in.
- To provide the features you ask for, including AI-generated ideas, scripts, voices and post text.
- To keep the Service safe, fair and working, including preventing misuse and fixing faults.
- To send you account emails, such as email confirmation and password reset, and important notices about the Service.
- To meet our legal duties and to enforce our terms.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running your account and the Service); our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and improving it; your consent (for optional cookies and similar choices, which you can withdraw); and our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that help us run CREATEWOKS, and only what each needs:
- Supabase: sign-in and the account record (name, age, country, email, protected password).
- Google: AI text generation, AI voices and, if you use it, Google sign-in. Google’s terms for the free developer service allow Google to use the content sent to it to improve its products, so do not send confidential information.
- Groq: AI text generation and web search for trend research.
- Cloudflare: hosting, our AI gateway and security.
- Paystack: card and bank payments, once paid plans are available.
If you press play on the demo video on our home page after allowing optional content, YouTube (Google) also receives your usual browser information. See the Cookie Policy.
We may also share information if the law or a court requires it, to protect people’s safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, in which case this policy continues to protect your information. We will update this list when we add services.
Moving information between countries
Our providers run services in several countries, so your information may be processed outside the country where you live. We choose established providers and rely on the safeguards the law allows, such as contract terms and the providers’ own security programmes.
How long we keep it
- Account details: for as long as your account exists, then deleted or anonymised within a reasonable time after you ask us to close it, unless the law requires us to keep some records.
- Content on your device: until you delete it or clear your browser data. We cannot recover it for you.
- Technical logs: kept for a limited time by our hosting and security providers, according to their settings, for security and fault-finding.
- AI providers: keep submitted text for the periods set by their own policies.
Partner programme
This section applies only if you join the CREATEWOKS partner programme, or if you sign up after opening a partner link.
If you are a partner
- We collect your partner link name and display name, the visits to each of your links (we count visits, not who made them), the sign-ups and payments linked to your links, and your commission and withdrawal records.
- Customers you bring are shown to you with part of their email address hidden (for example a***@gmail.com). You never see their full email address, their videos or their payment details.
- When you ask for a withdrawal you give us your bank name, account number and account name. Only you (the last four digits) and we can see them. We use them only to pay you, to prevent fraud and to keep our accounts.
- We keep commission, withdrawal and payment records for as long as the law requires us to keep accounting records, even if you later close your account.
If you open a partner link
Your browser remembers the partner link name for 60 days, so the right partner is credited if you create an account and pay for a plan. We count the visit to the link. The partner does not learn who you are unless you become a customer, and then they see only a partly hidden email address and the plan you are on. See the Cookie Policy for the exact items stored.
Why we do this
To perform our agreement with partners, to credit commissions correctly, to prevent fraud and misuse, and to meet our legal duties.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and similar laws), you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- have wrong information corrected;
- have your information deleted, or its use restricted;
- object to some uses and withdraw consent you gave;
- receive your information in a portable form;
- complain to the data protection authority in your country (in Nigeria, the Nigeria Data Protection Commission).
To use any of these rights, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We will reply within 30 days. You can change your name, age and country yourself on the Account page at any time.
How we protect it
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), protected password storage, access controls and rate limits. Because your videos live on your device, keeping that device secure and backing up your finished videos is your responsibility. No online service can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps and will tell you if a serious problem affects your information.
Age requirement
CREATEWOKS is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a young person has created an account, tell us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service grows. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell you inside the app or by email before it applies.
